Can nodules on thyroid shrink?

Recently diagnosed with a few small nodules on my thyroid, and the doctor said we'd monitor them. I'm hoping to avoid surgery. Is it possible for these thyroid nodules to shrink on their own, or with some specific measures?

Actually, my mom had a small thyroid nodule detected two years ago. The doctor told us to just observe it, and in her recent ultrasound, it had actually reduced in size slightly. So yes, they can shrink, but definitely keep tracking it with your doc.

Haan na, thyroid nodules can actually shrink on their own sometimes. Many of them are completely benign and don't cause any harm. But regular checkups toh karne hi padenge na, just to make sure they are not growing. Don't worry too much!

Yes, benign nodules can sometimes shrink or remain completely harmless over time. Along with your doctor's advice, practicing Ujjayi Pranayama and Sarvangasana gently can help improve thyroid blood circulation. Keep a calm mind and let the body heal.

Some people say eating selenium-rich foods or avoiding soy helps, but honestly, there's no proven home remedy to shrink thyroid nodules. If you feel any difficulty in swallowing or breathing, please don't wait and consult an endocrinologist immediately.

I have seen this question quite often in this forum. Yes, benign nodules can shrink or fluctuate in size, but you must get an ultrasound and FNAC done first to rule out anything serious. Don't self-medicate; just keep a regular follow-up with your endocrinologist.

I was super scared when I found a nodule on my neck last year. My doctor did a biopsy (FNAC) which was benign, and after six months of proper thyroid medication and diet changes, the nodule shrank slightly. It is possible, so stay hopeful!

I just got my ultrasound report showing two small thyroid nodules, and I am honestly so stressed out. Do they really shrink on their own, or is surgery usually needed? I can't stop thinking about it, please share if anyone had a similar report.
