Can nicotine pouches cause kidney problems?

Switched to nicotine pouches to cut down on smoking, thinking they are a safer option. But now I'm hearing some talk about them potentially affecting kidneys. Can nicotine pouches really cause kidney problems? I just want to know the risks.

Nicotine can raise your blood pressure, which in the long run can strain your kidneys. Instead of guessing, just spend 15 minutes getting a basic kidney function test (KFT) done. It's quick and tells you exactly what is happening.

I started using nicotine pouches last month and recently felt a slight back ache near my lower ribs. Now I'm super paranoid about my kidneys. Has anyone else felt this way after starting pouches?

Please don't ignore any health changes if you use these pouches. I ignored minor symptoms years ago and ended up with severe complications. Go get a proper urine and blood checkup to be absolutely sure.

Nicotine doesn't directly cause kidney failure, but keeping your blood pressure high isn't great for them either! Just stay hydrated and maybe try to cut back on the pouches slowly. You can do it! 👍

These modern chemical pouches are not good for any organ of the body, child. Drink plenty of water and barley water to flush out toxins naturally, but please stop using these synthetic things altogether.

Nicotine raises blood pressure, and high BP is a major cause of kidney damage. I have to manage my BP daily with lifestyle and checkups, so I advise you to monitor your blood pressure closely if you use pouches.
