Can nexplanon cause pcos?

Having had Nexplanon for about a year now, I've lately been experiencing symptoms that sound a lot like PCOS, like irregular periods and some hair growth. Could Nexplanon actually cause or trigger PCOS? I'm quite worried about this.

It shouldn't cause PCOS directly, but any hormonal shift can make you feel a bit sluggish. If your doctor clears it, try staying active with daily brisk walking for 30 minutes. It keeps insulin levels and hormones in check naturally.

I know how exhausting it is to constantly worry about your hormones and PCOS. It is a very valid fear because the irregular bleeding from Nexplanon can look like PCOS symptoms. But please know, the implant itself doesn't cause the syndrome.

In our times we didn't have these modern implants, but hormonal worries are always there. Don't stress too much, child. These things just alter your cycle temporarily, they don't create lifelong conditions like PCOS out of nowhere.

Yes, I agree with others that it doesn't cause PCOS. If you already have PCOS, just discuss with your doctor if this is the right contraceptive for you.

Honestly, I am too tired to even spell PCOS right now, but I remember asking my doc this. She said Nexplanon might mask or mimic PCOS symptoms but doesn't actually cause it. Now if only it could help me sleep better, that would be great.

Hormones can definitely make you crave all sorts of junk like spicy momos or sweets, which might lead to weight gain similar to PCOS! But the implant itself won't give you PCOS. Just keep an eye on those midnight cravings.

I completely understand why you are anxious about this, health anxiety is the worst. I also kept googling if my birth control was ruining my ovaries. But rest assured, the experts say Nexplanon does not cause PCOS.

There is no scientific evidence to show Nexplanon causes PCOS. However, if you are experiencing symptoms like severe acne, weight gain, or irregular periods, it is best to visit a gynecologist for a proper diagnosis.

Look, simple thing—Nexplanon is a hormonal contraceptive, PCOS is a metabolic disorder. One cannot cause the other. Don't mix up two completely different things and stress yourself out for no reason.

Haan, don't worry na. Nexplanon directly PCOS nahi karta. If you feel like your periods are very messed up after getting the implant, just consult your doctor once. It takes some time for the body to adjust.
