Can nasal polyps cause sleep apnea?

My wife complains I snore very loudly and sometimes stop breathing in my sleep. I also have chronic nasal congestion and polyps. Is it possible that my nasal polyps are causing or contributing to sleep apnea?

Yes, nasal polyps can block your airway and definitely contribute to sleep apnea. It is best to consult an ENT specialist to get them checked.

Yes, they absolutely can! Since they block your nose, breathing during sleep becomes quite a task. Don't worry, getting them treated will help you sleep like a baby again!

Nasal polyps block the nasal passages, which forces you to breathe through your mouth and can worsen obstructive sleep apnea. You should get an endoscopy done by an ENT doctor. They can recommend whether nasal sprays or a minor removal is the best path forward.

Since nasal polyps restrict your oxygen intake at night, it can make you feel super tired during your day workouts. Try doing light outdoor walks to keep your energy up, but definitely consult a doctor to clear your nasal passages properly.

Yes, they can block the airflow and cause sleep issues. But don't stress too much about it! It is a very common and treatable issue. Just schedule a quick visit to an ENT doctor and they will help you resolve it easily.

I know how terrifying it feels to wake up choking or unable to breathe properly at night. Nasal polyps can absolutely cause this by blocking your airway. Please go see an ENT specialist, getting a proper diagnosis will ease so much of your anxiety.

My roommate had this! She used to snore so loudly and wake up gasping for air because of nasal polyps. After she got them treated by a doc, her sleep completely changed. You should definitely get it checked out.
