Can nasal drip cause vomiting?

I've had a persistent post-nasal drip for weeks now, and sometimes I feel really nauseous, especially in the mornings. Can nasal drip be severe enough to actually cause vomiting? It's making me feel quite ill.

Yes, post-nasal drip can definitely cause nausea and vomiting, especially in the morning. Drinking warm water helps clear the throat mucus.

Oh god, this happens to me every winter! The mucus constantly dripping down the back of the throat tickles my gag reflex and makes me feel so nauseous. Sipping warm ginger tea throughout the day really helps to soothe it.

Haan na, it definitely causes vomiting sometimes. Especially when we sleep, all that cough collects in the throat and makes us gag in the morning. Try doing hot water steam inhalation before sleeping, it will help you a lot.

Yes, the excess mucus irritating the stomach lining is a very common cause of vomiting. A simple solution is to keep your head elevated with an extra pillow while sleeping so the mucus doesn't collect in your throat.

Yes, post-nasal drip can upset the stomach or trigger the gag reflex, leading to vomiting. However, since persistent vomiting can cause dehydration, it is best to consult an ENT specialist or physician to identify the underlying cause of your allergies.

Yes, it happens. If your doctor allows, doing some light indoor cardio or yoga can actually help open up your nasal passages and reduce the drip. Just don't push too hard if you are already feeling nauseous or weak.

I ignored my persistent nasal drip for months, thinking it was just a mild cold, until it turned into a severe sinus infection that made me vomit daily. Please go see an ENT doctor and get it treated properly before it worsens.

Yes! The constant throat clearing totally ruins my appetite for spicy street food, honestly. When the mucus goes into your stomach, it can feel super heavy and cause vomiting. Stick to light khichdi and hot soup until it clears up.

Oh absolutely, your body basically confuses your stomach for a waste bin with all that mucus dripping down! It is super annoying but very common. Just keep spit-pots or tissues close and drink some hot water to wash it down.

It is so exhausting and frustrating to deal with this, I completely feel your pain. The nausea from constant throat dripping used to make me so anxious every morning. Just know that it is a physical reaction and it will get better with the right treatment.

I have noticed that my nasal drip worsens when my lifestyle is off or when my room is too dusty. Keeping up with regular health checkups and keeping your sleeping area clean can prevent these sudden allergy flare-ups that lead to vomiting.

I used to throw up a lot due to severe sinus issues and drip. What worked wonders for me was doing warm saline gargles twice a day and using a humidifier. It thins the mucus so it doesn't trigger your gag reflex.
