Can nail polish cause cancer?

I love getting my nails done and changing polish often. But lately, I've heard some things about chemicals in nail polish being harmful. Can using it regularly actually increase my risk of cancer?

Actually, regular nail polish won't give you cancer, yaar. But those gel polishes where you have to put your hands under UV lamps too often might have some risk for skin damage. Just use a good SPF on your hands before doing gel nails!

Some cheap nail polishes have harsh chemicals like formaldehyde and toluene which are toxic. I prefer using chemical-free, organic brands, or just letting my nails breathe naturally. But if you ever notice any weird skin changes or persistent growths around your nails, please consult a dermatologist immediately.

Yes, I agree that avoiding toxic formulas is safer. It is best to look for 'toxic-free' or chemical-free nail paints when shopping online.

Chemical exposure from cosmetic products can sometimes disrupt our endocrine system. Since I manage thyroid issues, I have become very careful about toxin exposure and keep up with regular medical checks. If you are worried about chemical toxicity, consult a general physician for guidance.

Honestly, if nail polish caused cancer, my sister would have been in trouble years ago with her weekly changes. Just paint them in a well-ventilated room so you don't pass out from the chemical fumes. No need to stress too much about it!

I used to worry about this so much because of the strong smell of nail paints! Some ingredients are definitely toxic if inhaled in huge amounts daily, like in salons. It is best to use 5-free or 10-free non-toxic polishes just to keep your mind at peace.
