Can muscle pain cause nausea?

Since yesterday, I've had really bad muscle pain in my back after lifting some heavy boxes. Along with that, I've been feeling quite nauseous. Is it possible for the muscle pain itself to cause this feeling?

Oh, this happens to me whenever I get severe back spasms, the intense pain makes my stomach feel super weird and nauseous. I always panic thinking it's something worse, but usually, it's just the body's reaction to high pain. Definitely rest and see if it gets better!

Sometimes very bad muscle pain can make you feel sick to your stomach. Drink some warm ginger tea for the nausea and put a warm heating pad on the sore muscles. If you don't feel better by tomorrow, go to the local clinic and get checked.

Severe pain can really stress the body and make you feel sick. Please lie down in a quiet place and take some rest. Hope you feel better very soon.

Sometimes heavy delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) makes me feel a bit sick. If the doctor says it's just normal strain, I find that a very gentle, slow walk helps circulate blood and ease both the stiffness and the nauseous feeling. Don't push hard, though.

Whenever my joints and muscles ache badly and make me feel nauseous, I drink warm water with a little carom seeds (ajwain) and ginger. It really helps settle the stomach. But if the pain is very sharp or sudden, please consult a doctor.

According to my fitness tracker data, when my recovery score is super low and muscles are extremely sore after a heavy leg day, my body goes into fight-or-flight mode. This stress can definitely trigger mild nausea. Hydrate well and monitor your heart rate to see if it settles.

I have chronic lower back pain and yes, when the spasms are intense, nausea kicks in immediately. My doctor explained it is the vagus nerve reacting. My tip is to practice deep breathing and use an ice pack on the painful area to calm the nervous system down.

I was researching this and read that severe muscle pain releases stress hormones like cortisol, which can upset your stomach lining and cause nausea. It's basically your brain reacting to the pain signals. Quite fascinating but definitely uncomfortable!

While extreme muscle pain can sometimes cause nausea due to the stress response, you must be careful. If the pain is in your chest, left arm, or jaw and is accompanied by nausea or sweating, please go to the emergency room immediately. Don't ignore these symptoms.

I have been feeling this weird dull body ache and slight nausea since yesterday morning. I'm really worried if it's some viral infection or something worse. Has anyone else experienced muscle pain and nausea together recently?

I had horrible upper back pain last month and started vomiting, which made me panic thinking I was having a major medical emergency. Turned out it was just a severe muscle knot pressing on a nerve, plus gas. It's quite common, so try to calm down, but do get it checked to be safe.

Yes child, if the pain is very severe, the sheer intensity can make you feel nauseous and dizzy. Rest in a cool room, drink small sips of water, and don't exert yourself. If the pain is in the chest or abdomen, please consult a doctor without any delay.

My teenage daughter got terrible muscle aches and started feeling nauseous after her sports day. It was just dehydration and exhaustion. I gave her ORS and made her rest, and she was fine. Make sure you are drinking enough fluids and not skipping meals.

Dekho, agar thoda bahut body pain hai toh thik hai, lekin agar dukhne ke sath ulti jaisa lag raha hai toh chupchap doctor ko dikhao. Don't sit and guess on the internet. Take a painkiller only if your doctor has told you to, otherwise rest.

Yes, extreme pain of any kind can trigger your nervous system and cause nausea. It is a pretty normal response to high pain levels.
