Can mri cause cancer?

My doctor has suggested an MRI scan for my knee pain. I was telling my neighbour about it, and she said she heard MRIs can cause cancer. Is there any truth to this or is it just a rumour?

I have thyroid issues and have to get regular scans and blood tests done. From what my doctor told me, MRIs don't use radiation like X-rays or CT scans do, so there is no cancer risk. Just keep up with your regular follow-ups.

No, MRIs use magnetic fields and radio waves, not radiation, so they don't cause cancer at all. Once you get your scan done and your doctor gives the go-ahead, focus on staying active with daily walking to keep your fitness on track.

Look, don't worry unnecessarily about this. MRIs are completely safe and do not use harmful radiation. If your doctor has prescribed it, just go get it done quietly so you can get the right treatment.

The magnetic field in an MRI is gentle on the body's natural energies and does not cause any cell damage or cancer. Try to practice deep breathing or pranayama inside the machine to keep your mind calm during the scan.

I was actually researching this online before my dad's scan. MRIs don't use ionizing radiation like CT scans do, so they are considered super safe with zero cancer risk. It's just a giant magnet basically!

Bro, chill! MRI is just a huge magnet making loud noises, there is zero radiation involved so it definitely won't give you cancer. I had one for my knee injury last year and it was totally fine, just a bit boring inside.

I just went through a series of MRI scans last month for my back issue. The medical staff reassured me multiple times that it is totally safe and has no radiation risk whatsoever. It's just noisy, so wear the earplugs they give you!

Haan na, log phukat me tension lete hain scan sunkar. MRI me toh koi radiation nahi hota, toh cancer ka darr bilkul nahi hai. Doctor ne bola hai toh bina tension ke karlo, ho na.

Please don't worry at all. MRIs are very safe procedures and do not cause cancer. Take a deep breath and go for it.

My neurologist clearly explained that MRI uses strong magnetic fields and radio frequency pulses to generate images. Because there is no ionizing radiation involved, there is absolutely no link to DNA damage or cancer. It is a highly safe diagnostic tool.

My son had to get an MRI when he fell down and hurt his head. I was so scared about side effects, but the doctor assured us it's completely safe and has no radiation or cancer risks. Do get it done for your peace of mind.

While MRI itself is very safe and doesn't cause cancer, sometimes the contrast dye used can cause allergic reactions in some people. Always discuss your medical history and allergies clearly with your doctor before the scan.
