Can mould cause lung cancer?

Our old apartment building has damp walls and a lot of mould, especially during monsoon. My husband developed a chronic cough, and our neighbour said mould can be very harmful. Can mould cause lung cancer?

Wait, seriously? I knew mold causes bad coughing and asthma vibes, but lung cancer sounds super scary. I don't think it directly causes cancer, but honestly, sleeping in a moldy room is definitely bad for your lungs.

I have tried everything from neem spray to eucalyptus oil to clear mold from our store room because it gave my family bad breathing issues. While it doesn't cause cancer directly, it can damage your lungs over time. Keep your rooms dry and ventilated.

Let us not panic. Mold is highly linked to asthma, bronchitis, and fungal infections of the lung, but there is no direct proof that it causes lung cancer like smoking does. However, living with mold is very unhealthy, so do get it treated by professionals.

Arey, nowadays everything on the internet seems to lead to cancer! Honestly, mold will give you a lifetime of sneezing and asthma before it ever does anything else. Just get the wall dampness fixed and save yourself the anxiety.

I ignored a persistent cough thinking it was just mold allergy, and it turned into severe pneumonia that landed me in the ICU. Please don't self-diagnose or worry about cancer right away. If you have breathing issues, go see a doctor immediately.

To keep your lungs strong against environmental toxins like mold spores, make sure you eat plenty of antioxidant-rich fruits and warm turmeric milk. Mold doesn't cause cancer, but boosting your inner immunity helps fight off the respiratory infections it brings.

My son had a chronic cough for three months because of mold behind his wardrobe. It won't cause cancer, but the wheezing and breathing trouble it causes in kids is very real and scary. Please clean it immediately for your family's safety.

There's no solid clinical evidence showing mold causes lung cancer directly, but it definitely messes up your respiratory health and sleep quality. My smart ring always shows poor recovery when my room has high humidity. Better to use a dehumidifier.
