Can mold exposure cause fever?

My apartment building had a water leak recently, and now there's mold in the hallway. Since then, I've been feeling feverish on and off, but without any other cold symptoms. Could this fever be because of mold exposure?

I can only share what happened to me, but last winter our guest room got very moldy and I slept there for a week. I developed a mild, persistent fever along with a stuffed nose. The fever only went away after I cleared the mold and slept in a different, airy room.

Haha, mold is like that annoying relative who enters your house and gives you a headache and a fever! Yes, it can make you feel super feverish because of the constant allergies. Clean that green monster off your bathroom walls and you'll probably feel much better soon!

Look, mold can cause a low-grade fever if your body is fighting off a bad allergic reaction or a sinus infection caused by the spores. Don't sit around hoping it will go away. Clean your room, and if the fever is high, go straight to a doctor instead of guessing.

Bro, my hostel room had so much mold on the ceiling last semester, and I literally had a low fever and cough for two weeks straight. I thought it was normal college flu, but my doc said it was due to the damp room. Clean your walls, trust me, it actually helps.

Oh, I totally get how annoying this is. Last monsoon, my bedroom wall got super damp, and I kept getting a warm, feverish feeling every evening along with sneezing. Once we used a dehumidifier and cleaned the wall, my temperature went back to normal. Try to air out your room as much as possible!

Dealing with PCOS means my body is already sensitive to inflammation, and being around mold definitely triggers a feverish feeling and fatigue for me. I don't want to say it's the exact cause for you, but keeping your space dry is so important. Please consult a doctor to rule out any infection.

Don't panic, okay? Mold can sometimes cause a mild fever if you've developed a respiratory infection or severe allergy from the spores. Keep yourself hydrated, rest up, and please get someone to clean up the moldy areas in your house. If the fever stays high, we should get you checked by a doctor.
