Can mold cause fever?

Since the mold infestation in our bathroom, I've been feeling generally unwell and developed a persistent low-grade fever that doesn't seem to respond to regular medication. I'm wondering if it's connected. Can mold cause fever?

While mold exposure can cause sinus inflammation and mild fever, eating fresh, immunity-boosting foods like ginger and turmeric can support your body. Keep your diet clean, but don't ignore persistent fevers.

I actually had a mild fever and terrible congestion last winter because of the damp walls in my room. My doctor said mold allergy can sometimes cause sinus infections, which lead to a low-grade fever. Cleaning the room really solved it.

At Fortis, the specialist explained that inhaling mold spores can lead to hypersensitivity pneumonitis, which causes fever and chills. You should ask your doctor clearly if your fever is linked to environmental exposure.

Inhaling mold can cause allergic bronchopulmonary issues, which might present with a low-grade fever and cough. It’s practical to get a physical exam and a chest X-ray if your fever is persistent, so don't self-medicate.

In my years of dealing with old damp houses, I've seen that mold usually causes runny noses and coughing, but a proper high fever is rare unless there's an actual secondary sinus infection. Don't worry too much, just get it checked.

Damp environments are not good for health; we always kept our homes well-ventilated and dry. If someone gets a fever from a moldy room, let them rest in a clean, sunny room, but consult a doctor for proper medicine.

I usually suggest hot herbal kadha for seasonal congestion, but if mold is causing a high fever or breathing trouble, it could be a severe lung infection. Please skip home remedies and go to a doctor immediately.
