Can mold cause asthma attacks?

My daughter has asthma, and lately, her attacks have become more frequent and severe. We discovered some mold behind a cupboard in her room. Could this be the reason? Can mold cause asthma attacks?

Yes, mold is a very potent allergen that can trigger severe asthma attacks by causing airway inflammation. It is best to consult a pulmonologist for a proper management plan and keep an emergency inhaler handy.

I’ve been up all night coughing because of the damp walls in my rented flat. Mold is basically the enemy of sleep and breathing; it absolutely triggers asthma attacks, so deal with it before you lose your mind like me.

Haan beta, humare padosi ke bacche ko bhi deewar ki silan se bahut tez saans phoolne ki beemari ho gayi thi. Ghar ko saaf aur sukha rakhiye, aur doctor babu ko zaroor dikha lijiye.

I didn't know mold could be this dangerous for asthma patients. Do normal air purifiers help in removing these spores, or do we need special cleaning for the walls?

When I went to Apollo for my husband's breathing issues, the doctor clearly explained how mold spores trigger sudden bronchospasms. You should ask your doctor clearly about getting an allergy test done.
