Can molars cause high fever?

My two-year-old is cutting his molars right now and has been running a high fever for the past two days. My mother-in-law says it's normal for teething, but I'm worried about the fever being so high. Can molars cause a high fever?

Hey, don't stress too much about it! Mild fever can happen with teething because of the gums getting inflamed. But if the body temperature is touching 102, it’s best to let a paediatrician take a look.

When my wisdom molars were coming in, I got a mild fever but nothing crazy high. If the fever is really high, it’s probably a throat or ear infection instead. Just get it checked by a doc directly.

Even with adults, impacted molars can cause infections that lead to fever. If this is about an adult, regular blood tests or an X-ray at the dentist can show the exact issue, so do follow up with your doctor.

Bachon ke jab bade daant nikalte hain, toh thoda sharir garm ho hi jata hai. Lekin agar bahut tez bukhar ho, toh doctor ko dikhana zaroori hai. Thoda gunguna pani pilate rahiye.

A standard teething fever is usually very mild, around 99 degrees. For anything higher, give them prescribed paracetamol syrup as per their weight and consult your family doctor to check for ear infections.

My toddler is cutting her molars and has a 101 fever since last night. I am so worried. Did anyone else's baby get a really high fever just from teething, or is it something else?
