Can miscarriage cause fever?

I recently had a miscarriage, and a few days later, I developed a low-grade fever. I'm trying to understand if this is normal after such an event. Can a miscarriage cause a fever?

Hey sweetie, I am so sorry you are going through this. Please don't stress too much, but you really need to be careful right now. If you have a fever, please don't wait at home and just go see your doctor immediately.

When my wife had a miscarriage and ran a mild fever, I completely panicked and thought the worst. The doctor checked her and gave some antibiotics, and she was totally fine. Don't worry, but do get her checked by a professional immediately to avoid complications.

Usually, I prefer trying warm ginger water or simple herbal teas for small health issues. But a fever during or after a miscarriage is a serious warning sign of infection. Please skip any home remedies this time and go straight to the hospital.

I am having a very high fever and shivering since yesterday after my miscarriage. Is this normal or should I be scared? Did anyone else experience this and get fine with just normal medicines?

I am so sorry for your loss. I don't know much about this, but is the fever accompanied by severe stomach pain or heavy bleeding too? Please take care of yourself and go see a doctor immediately.

A fever after a miscarriage is not something to ignore because it can indicate a retained product or pelvic infection. Don't take random paracetamols to suppress it at home. Go to your hospital so they can do an ultrasound and treat you properly.

I went through a miscarriage last month and developed a high fever on the second day. My gynaecologist told me it's a clear red flag for an infection inside the uterus. They had to clean it out and put me on IV fluids, so please go to the clinic right away.

As a diabetic, I know how fast infections can spread when the body is weak. A fever during a miscarriage is a major sign of a potential infection that needs urgent medical care. Please contact your doctor right away to get evaluated.
