Can miralax cause vomiting?
My elderly mother started taking Miralax for her chronic constipation. Sometimes she feels very nauseous and has even vomited once after taking it. We are a bit concerned. Can Miralax cause vomiting?

Hey, I used Miralax once and while it didn't make me vomit, it definitely made me feel super nauseous because of the chalky texture when mixed with water. If you are actually throwing up, that doesn't sound right, maybe check with a doc.
Ugh, dealing with constipation at 2 AM is bad enough, but vomiting on top of it is just cruel. Miralax usually shouldn't make you throw up unless you drank it too fast or your stomach is completely blocked. If you can't keep fluids down, go to a clinic ASAP.
It must be very difficult to deal with vomiting and stomach issues at the same time. While mild nausea can sometimes happen, actual vomiting is not a common side effect of Miralax. Please rest well and consult a doctor if it continues.
I was just reading up on Miralax side effects online. Apparently, if there is a severe blockage in the bowel, taking a laxative can cause back-up and lead to nausea or vomiting. It seems really important to get a doctor's advice if this is happening.
Agree, vomiting is not normal with Miralax. It could indicate a severe bowel obstruction, so please seek medical attention immediately.
I totally get it, vomiting makes you feel so weak and miserable, especially when you are already struggling with constipation. Miralax shouldn't normally cause this, so please don't push yourself to take more. Take some rest and let a doctor examine you.
I always keep a close watch on my health and blood pressure. Vomiting can quickly lead to dehydration, which is dangerous for your heart and BP. If Miralax is causing you to throw up, please stop taking it immediately and get a medical checkup.
