Can miralax cause stomach pain?

In my years of dealing with digestion issues, I have seen that laxatives like Miralax can cause some temporary gurgling and mild pain as they loosen things up. It is usually nothing to worry about and settles down soon. But if the pain is very sharp or severe, please see a doctor immediately.

My daughter was prescribed Miralax for chronic constipation, and she did complain of mild tummy aches in the beginning. Her pediatrician told us it is normal as the stool moves, but advised us to reduce the dose slightly. Keep a close eye on your child and check with their doctor.
