Can minoxidil cause brain cancer?

My husband has been using minoxidil for his hair loss for some time. We were watching a show recently where they mentioned potential side effects of certain medications. It got me thinking, can minoxidil cause brain cancer?

Arre baap re, brain cancer? Who told you this? If minoxidil caused that, half the bald men in India would be in serious trouble by now. Don't worry, it is a well-tested scalp solution, not some toxic chemical.

This sounds like a typical WhatsApp forward rumor. There is absolutely no scientific evidence linking topical minoxidil to brain cancer. Please stop reading random forums and consult a certified dermatologist if you have safety concerns.

My son was very anxious about using minoxidil for his thinning hair after reading some scary posts online. I took him to our family doctor who cleared up all doubts; there is no cancer risk at all. Just help them apply it properly and keep their mind at ease.

Fear and anxiety can cause more harm to our body than the actual medicine. Minoxidil is safe for hair growth, so use it with a calm mind. Combine it with daily pranayama to reduce stress, which naturally helps with hair health too.

I always check safety profiles of everything I use because of my diabetes. Minoxidil is applied locally on the scalp and has been used for decades safely. Just follow the exact dosage your doctor prescribed and don't panic over internet rumors.

Actually, minoxidil was originally a high blood pressure medicine before it became a hair lotion. It doesn't cause any cancer, but because it can affect BP if absorbed too much, it is always wise to get your BP checked regularly if you are using it.

If you are experiencing severe headaches or dizziness while using minoxidil, don't just ignore it or assume it is cancer. I once ignored major side effects of another medicine and suffered a lot. Please go see your doctor immediately to check if you're having an allergic reaction.
