Can migraines cause vomiting?

I've started experiencing really intense headaches recently, and almost every time, they end with me throwing up. Is it possible these are migraines? Can migraines really cause vomiting like this?

Yes yaar, actually vomiting is super common during a bad migraine attack. Your gut completely freezes up when the head is throbbing. I always have to keep a bin next to my bed when a severe attack starts.

It definitely causes vomiting, which also means you can't keep oral pills down. Before spending on expensive hospital consults, ask your local family doctor if they can prescribe a cheap anti-vomiting tablet or nasal spray for migraines. It is a very budget-friendly way to manage attacks.

For me, vomiting is almost always the peak of my migraine. Once I throw up, my head pain actually starts reducing slightly and I am finally able to sleep. It is a terrible process but that is how my body deals with it.

Yes, it is a very painful but common symptom of migraines. Please don't force yourself to eat heavy food right now, just sip some water slowly. Wishing you a very speedy recovery.

Yes, my neurologist explained that migraine causes 'gastric stasis', which basically slows down your digestion and leads to nausea and vomiting. He prescribed me a disintegrating tablet that dissolves on the tongue so I don't have to swallow it during an attack.
