Can migraines cause fever?

Sometimes after a very severe migraine attack, I notice that I feel a bit warm, like I have a low-grade fever. Is this just my imagination or can migraines cause fever? I'm trying to understand all the symptoms related to my migraines.

A standard migraine doesn't typically cause a fever. When you have autoimmune issues like thyroid, you get very sensitive to infections which can trigger both a headache and fever. Please consult your doctor and get your blood work done to find out what is actually causing the temperature.

I once thought my high fever and bad headache were just a severe migraine and took rest at home. It turned out to be dengue, and my platelets had dropped dangerously low by the time I went to the hospital. Please don't ignore a fever, go get a proper checkup immediately.

Fever is generally not a symptom of a migraine. A headache combined with a fever can sometimes point to serious infections like meningitis or sinus issues. Please see a doctor right away to get a proper diagnosis, don't just treat it as a migraine.

No, a typical migraine does not cause a fever. If you are running a temperature along with a severe headache, it is highly likely a viral or bacterial infection, not a migraine. It is best to consult a medical professional for an accurate diagnosis.

Beta, usually migraines do not raise your body temperature. If you have a fever, it means there is some infection in the body, maybe a cold or sinus issue. Drink warm water, rest, and please show a doctor if the fever does not go down.

Before you panic and spend thousands on expensive hospital scans, go to a local clinic. A simple CBC blood test and doctor consultation will cost very little and tell you if the fever is from a viral infection. Plan practically instead of worrying.
