Can malaria be transmitted sexually?

My friend and I were discussing various diseases, and the topic of malaria came up. We know it's spread by mosquitoes, but I was curious to know if there's any chance it can be transmitted sexually. Is that a possible route of infection?

I totally panicked and searched this exact same thing when my partner got diagnosed with malaria last monsoon. Don't worry, it is absolutely not a sexually transmitted infection. It only spreads through the bite of an infected mosquito, so you can relax.

My doctor told me that malaria is a blood-borne disease, not a sexually transmitted one. The parasite lives in the red blood cells, so intimate contact like intercourse doesn't pass it on. The only real risk of transmission is through blood transfusions, shared needles, or mosquito bites.

At this age, my back aches more than anything else, but I can tell you malaria won't spread through your bedroom activities. Save your energy for swatting the mosquitoes in the room instead, they are the real danger!

While medical science says it is not sexually transmitted, you should still be very careful. If you or your partner have high fever, body aches, or chills, please go to a lab and get a proper blood test immediately. Self-diagnosis is never safe.

The breath of life is pure, and diseases of the blood like malaria do not travel through intimate marital relations. Keep your mind peaceful and practice deep pranayama to strengthen your body's natural defense against external infections.

Hey, don't stress too much about this at all! Malaria is strictly a mosquito-bite game, not an STD. You can definitely hug and care for your partner without any such worries.

It is not a sexually transmitted disease, so don't worry about that. For general immunity against mosquito illnesses, you can have some papaya leaf juice or giloy water at home. But if there is high fever, please consult a clinic immediately.
