Can magnesium help joint pain?

My knees have been giving me a lot of trouble lately, especially with the cold weather. My friend suggested trying magnesium supplements for my joint pain. Is there any evidence that magnesium can actually help with aching joints?

I panicked when my knee pain didn't go away in three days after starting magnesium, but then I realized it takes time to work. It definitely helps reduce the inflammation and muscle tightness around the joints. Give it a few weeks, it really works!

Yes, magnesium is very helpful for joint pain. It relaxes the muscles around the joints and reduces stiffness. Hope you feel better soon.

My grandmother always recommended warm sesame oil massage for joint pain, which is very comforting. However, my doctor also added a magnesium supplement to my routine. The combination has really helped ease my joint stiffness.

I totally get it, dealing with constant joint pain is so exhausting and takes away all your energy. Magnesium definitely helps by reducing muscle tension and inflammation around the joints. It made a big difference for my mother.

Applying a warm mustard oil pack is very good for sore joints. Magnesium supplements can also support joint health, but if your joints are severely swollen or red, please see a doctor immediately instead of self-treating.

Please don't just rely on magnesium if you have severe joint pain. I ignored my joint pain for months thinking it was just a deficiency, and it turned out to be early arthritis which got worse. Get a proper diagnosis done first.
