Can magnesium glycinate cause kidney stones?

I have a history of kidney stones, so I'm always cautious about what I consume. My new Ayurvedic doctor recommended magnesium glycinate for my muscle spasms. Will this particular type of magnesium increase my risk of developing kidney stones again?

I don't have time for complicated routines, but I do take magnesium glycinate daily. It actually binds with oxalates to *prevent* kidney stones, not cause them. Just drink enough water and you are good to go.

I take magnesium for muscle recovery after my runs. It doesn't cause kidney stones at all. To keep your kidneys in top shape, make sure you walk at least 10k steps and drink 3-4 liters of water daily.

Sun bhai, magnesium glycinate se kidney stone nahi hota. Stone calcium aur oxalate se banta hai, aur magnesium toh use rokne me help karta hai. Paani daba ke piyo, faltu chinta mat karo.

As a nurse, I can tell you that magnesium glycinate is highly soluble and won't cause stones. In fact, we often suggest magnesium to patients who are prone to calcium oxalate stones. Just don't exceed the recommended daily dose.

I have PCOS and take magnesium glycinate for my insulin levels. I have never had any kidney stone issues with it. But since every body is different, it's always safer to ask your doctor before starting any daily supplement.

Actually yaar, it is the opposite! Magnesium glycinate is known to reduce the risk of kidney stones because it stops calcium from crystallizing. So chill, it is absolutely safe.

I was thinking of taking this for my anxiety, but my dad once had kidney stones and it was so painful. Is magnesium glycinate really safe for people with a family history of stones?
