Can lyme disease cause elevated liver enzymes?

Feeling generally unwell after a trek in the hills, my doctor is testing for Lyme disease. My recent blood report also showed elevated liver enzymes, which I never had before. Could Lyme disease be the reason for my high liver enzyme levels?

I completely understand how terrifying it is to see high numbers on your blood reports, I used to lose sleep over it. Yes, Lyme disease can temporarily inflame the liver and raise enzymes. Please take a deep breath, it is a known symptom and usually gets better once the infection is treated.

Haan, Lyme disease ki wajah se liver enzymes badh sakte hain, mere ek colleague ko bhi yahi hua tha. Par antibiotics lene ke baad levels normal aa jate hain na. Jyada chinta mat karo aur doctor ko dikha lo.

Yes, it can happen! But don't worry, once you start your proper treatment, your liver health will bounce back. Keep drinking lots of water and stay positive!

My uncle suggested some home remedies for liver detox, but I believe we must trust our modern medicine for infections like Lyme. Lyme can definitely cause elevated liver enzymes, but your doctor will easily manage it with the right antibiotic course. Just follow their advice calmly.

I was just reading up on tick-borne infections and found out that Lyme disease can indeed cause mild hepatitis, which bumps up the liver enzymes. It's fascinating how a tick bite can affect an organ like the liver. Definitely something to monitor with a physician.

Yes, Lyme disease is known to cause elevated liver enzymes, but they usually return to normal after finishing the antibiotic treatment.

Bro, don't stress too much about the high liver numbers right now. Lyme can cause this, but it's very common and completely treatable with the right meds. Just get your doctor to look at the reports and stay relaxed.

Yes, mild liver involvement is actually quite common during the early stages of Lyme disease, leading to elevated SGOT/SGPT levels. It typically resolves completely with the standard course of doxycycline. Keep monitoring your LFTs every few weeks as advised by your doctor.
