Can lupus cause psoriasis?

Having lupus, lately I've developed these red, scaly patches on my skin, especially on my elbows and knees. My dermatologist mentioned it looks a lot like psoriasis. Could my lupus be the reason I'm getting psoriasis?

Both conditions involve high systemic inflammation, which can affect the skin. I found that eating an anti-inflammatory vegetarian diet with lots of seeds and leafy greens helped soothe my skin issues. Make sure you talk to a clinical nutritionist before changing your diet plan.

Lupus and psoriasis are both autoimmune conditions, so having one can sometimes overlap with another. Please do not self-diagnose skin changes, as lupus rashes can look very similar to psoriasis. Get it checked by a specialist to be absolutely safe.

Dealing with skin flares on top of lupus joint pain is emotionally exhausting; there were days I didn't want to leave my room. It is completely normal to feel overwhelmed and frustrated by this. Please be gentle with yourself and seek support from loved ones.

Haan beta, jab shareer mein garmi aur bimari hoti hai, toh skin pe laal chakte aur khujli ho sakti hai. Aap pareshan mat ho, dhoop se bacho aur thoda nariyal tel lagao par doctor babu se dawai zaroor lena.

I use a health tracker to log my skin flare-ups and food intake, and it really helped identify what triggers my rashes. Sometimes lupus rashes mimic psoriasis, so tracking symptoms daily on an app can give your doctor very helpful data. Definitely give it a try!

Skin biopsies and specialist consultations can get very expensive. I suggest checking if government hospital OPDs or diagnostic centers in your area offer subsidized rates for autoimmune panels. Planning your tests and buying generic ointments can save quite a bit of money.

When I consulted at Apollo, the dermatologist clarified that subacute cutaneous lupus can look exactly like psoriasis. Ask your doctor clearly for a skin biopsy if there's any confusion. Getting an accurate diagnosis from a top specialist makes all the difference.

Our bodies sometimes bear the burden of inner stress, leading to skin issues like psoriasis or lupus flares. Keep your mind calm, stay positive, and continue your medical treatment. Everything will slowly settle down with patience and care.

Honestly, dealing with skin flare-ups during exams is the absolute worst. My friend has lupus and gets these super itchy, patchy rashes that look like psoriasis. She just uses a lot of mild moisturizer and keeps her doctor on speed dial.

Haan, dono hi autoimmune conditions hain, toh ek ke saath dusra hone ke chances rehte hain na. Par dermatologists ke paas iska bahut accha treatment hota hai. Aap bina baat ke tension mat lo aur doctor ko dikhao.

I totally get it, dealing with unpredictable skin issues while managing lupus is incredibly stressful. It feels like your own body is working against you. Please take it one day at a time and don't hesitate to reach out for comfort.

I just got over a severe skin flare-up that looked exactly like psoriasis. My rheumatologist adjusted my lupus medications and prescribed a specific steroid cream, and my skin cleared up in three weeks. Don't lose hope, the right treatment works wonders.
