Can low potassium cause vomiting?

I've had several unexpected bouts of vomiting recently, and I can't figure out why. I heard from a friend that low potassium can sometimes lead to such issues. Is that true?

Severe electrolyte imbalance can indeed affect your digestive system and cause nausea or vomiting. In my experience, keeping the body hydrated with simple coconut water is very helpful, but vomiting can lead to even lower potassium levels, which is risky. Please consult a doctor immediately to restore your balance safely.

My grandmother always tells us to drink light butter milk with a pinch of salt when we feel nauseous. However, my doctor explained that persistent vomiting can dangerously deplete your potassium and needs medical management. It is always best to visit a clinic to get your electrolytes checked and treated properly.

I panicked completely last year when I had a severe stomach flu and couldn't stop vomiting, and the blood report showed very low potassium. The doctor reassured me that the vomiting itself had washed out my potassium, rather than the other way around. Once they gave me an IV and some medicine, I felt completely fine.

Wait, I had terrible food poisoning last week and was throwing up constantly, and my head was spinning so badly. My roommate told me it might be due to low potassium and gave me an ORS drink. If you are still vomiting, you should definitely see a doctor at the campus clinic because it's super draining.

It is so exhausting and physically draining when you are constantly vomiting and feeling so weak that you can't even stand up. I went through this when my electrolytes were completely messed up, and the anxiety of not knowing why made it even worse. Please don't suffer through this alone, let a doctor help you feel better.
