Can low iron cause heart attack?

My father had heart issues, and I'm always worried about my own health. Recently, my blood reports showed a mild iron deficiency. Does low iron increase the risk of a heart attack?

Having dealt with severe cardiac issues in the past, I can tell you that extreme, untreated anemia puts immense strain on your heart because it has to pump much faster to deliver oxygen. While low iron itself might not directly cause a sudden heart attack in a healthy person, ignoring severe symptoms is very risky. Please go see a cardiologist if you are feeling chest discomfort or extreme breathlessness.

Hey, don't stress yourself out too much reading scary things online! Low iron usually just makes you feel super tired and sluggish, it won't suddenly give you a heart attack. Just book a basic blood test and talk to a doctor to get some iron tablets, you'll be totally fine, buddy.

Wait, really? I have low iron too and now this post is making me kind of anxious. I thought the worst that could happen was just feeling lazy during lectures and losing some hair. I think we should both just get a doctor to check our reports so we don't overthink this.

Look, let's keep it practical: chronic low iron causes your heart to work overtime, which can lead to complications like an enlarged heart if left untreated for years. But instead of worrying about extreme scenarios, just take out one hour this week to consult a physician. It's a very manageable issue if you take your supplements on time.

Even I have been feeling these strange chest palpitations lately because of my low iron, and honestly, it scares me so much. Has anyone else felt their heart beating really fast or felt out of breath just from walking up a few steps? I really hope it's just normal anemia and nothing more serious.
