Can liver problems cause blood in urine?

My urine has appeared darker than usual sometimes, and I'm a bit concerned. My husband has a history of liver issues, so it makes me wonder about my own health. Can liver problems ever cause blood in the urine?

Oh, that sounds really scary to deal with, I can totally understand your worry. While blood in urine is more commonly related to kidney stones or a severe UTI, advanced liver issues can sometimes cause bleeding tendencies. Please don't wait around and see a doctor today itself to be safe.

Please take this very seriously and do not ignore it. I had severe complications because I delayed showing my symptoms to a specialist, thinking it would resolve on its own. Blood in urine is a clear red flag that requires immediate clinical evaluation.

According to the research I did when my uncle was sick, severe liver damage can affect blood clotting, which might lead to bleeding in the urinary tract. My family doctor also explained that dark, cola-colored urine from bilirubin can sometimes be mistaken for blood. You need a proper urinalysis and LFT to confirm.

Yes, kidney and liver issues can sometimes overlap and cause this. Please book a doctor's appointment immediately and get a urine routine test done.

Honestly, seeing blood in your urine is not something you should discuss on online forums. It could be a bladder infection, kidney stones, or liver-related clotting issues, but either way, it is an emergency. Get to a hospital and get a proper diagnosis done.
