Can liver problems cause bloating?

I've been feeling bloated almost constantly for the past few months, and it's quite uncomfortable after meals. I'm trying to figure out the cause, as I don't usually have this issue. Can liver problems lead to constant bloating?

Dealing with high BP has taught me that stomach issues and bloating often connect to how our liver and heart function. When the liver is struggling, fluid can sometimes accumulate, making you feel very bloated. Make sure you get regular health screenings and keep your salt intake low.

Bloating is a very non-specific symptom, often caused by simple indigestion or IBS, but fluid retention from liver issues can also cause abdominal swelling. It is always best to avoid self-diagnosis. Consult a gastroenterologist who can run an ultrasound and guide you accurately.

Our bodies often reflect the internal stress we carry, so keep your mind calm and positive. If your liver is feeling sluggish, eating light, fresh satvik food can give it some rest. Do take care of yourself and let a doctor examine you to ensure everything is fine.

As someone living with PCOS, I know how frustrating constant bloating can be, and hormonal or liver imbalances can definitely trigger it. I don't want to give any false medical advice, but please track your food and talk to a doctor to find the exact reason.

I have seen many people in this group discuss bloating, and yes, a sluggish liver can definitely slow down your digestion and cause gas. Try avoiding deep-fried food and heavy dinners for a week. If the swelling in your stomach doesn't go down, please visit your family doctor.
