Can liver problems cause back pain?

I've been suffering from chronic lower back pain for quite some time, and it just doesn't seem to improve. My friend told me that sometimes your liver can be the cause. Can liver problems actually cause back pain?

Honestly, any internal issue can reflect as body pain. With my thyroid, I used to ignore back aches thinking it is just daily stress, but regular blood tests and checking with my doc regularly helped me catch issues early. Please get a proper liver function test and consult your doctor to be safe.

I always say don't jump to expensive MRIs directly. First, get a basic LFT and abdominal ultrasound package from a standard budget lab, it usually costs around 1000 to 1500 rupees. Show those reports to a general physician first so you don't waste money on high specialist fees initially.

Dekho boss, liver usually doesn't have pain receptors, but if it is swollen, it puts pressure and can cause right-sided back pain. Stop googling and getting scared. Go straight to a doctor, get tested, and clear your mind once and for all.

When my father had mild back pain, we went straight to a proper hospital and the gastroenterologist cleared all our doubts. Don't rely on random guesses because referred pain is very real. Just book an appointment with a specialist and ask them directly about this link.

I am actually quite new here and not very sure about this, but I have heard from someone that gallbladder or liver issues can feel like shoulder or back pain. Is the pain mostly on the right side for you? Let me know if you find out anything helpful.

Back pain is mostly due to sitting wrongly or lifting heavy things, but yes, upper right back pain can sometimes be linked to the liver. Instead of worrying too much and searching online, just go to a local clinic, get a basic ultrasound done, and eat simple home food for a few days.
