Can liver hemangiomas cause pain?

During a recent ultrasound, they found a small liver hemangioma, but the doctor said it's usually harmless. However, sometimes I do feel a dull ache in that area. Can liver hemangiomas ever cause pain?

Usually, hemangiomas are totally harmless and asymptomatic, but if they grow larger than 4-5 cm, they can cause some discomfort in the upper right abdomen. I log my health symptoms on an app and it really helps to track if the pain correlates with meals. Definitely get an ultrasound done to check the size.

Haan, waise toh ye bina kisi problem ke pade rehte hain body mein, par agar size bada ho jaye toh thoda pain de sakte hain na. Ek baar achhe doctor ko dikha lo taaki clear ho jaye ki pain iski wajah se hi hai ya kuch aur hai.

Most liver hemangiomas don't cause any pain and are found purely by accident during other scans. If you are actually experiencing persistent pain, it might be due to something else or the hemangioma is quite large. Get an MRI done to get a clear answer.

Hey, I totally understand how unsettling it is to feel pain in that area. My cousin had a small hemangioma and her doc said it rarely hurts unless it grows, so it's good to keep track of the size. Warm compresses might help with mild muscle tension, but do get it checked!

While small ones are usually silent, larger hemangiomas can cause a dull ache in the upper right side. Don't waste time trying to guess the cause online. Book a quick gastroenterologist appointment, get a scan, and get a definitive diagnosis.

Oh god, I would be so stressed out if I felt pain there! Even though they say hemangiomas are mostly benign and don't hurt, pain can make anyone worry. Please get it checked by a doctor just to be 100% sure and put your mind at ease.

Sipping warm ginger tea can help with general stomach bloating, but if you have a known liver hemangioma and it is hurting, home remedies won't solve it. If the pain is severe or sharp, please consult a specialist immediately.
