Can liver enzymes be elevated for no reason?

My doctor found elevated liver enzymes during a routine check-up, but I feel perfectly fine and don't drink alcohol. I'm a bit confused by this. Can liver enzymes be elevated for no apparent reason at all?

I just got my first blood test done and my liver enzymes are slightly high, even though I feel totally fine. Is it normal for them to spike without any obvious disease, or should I be worried?

There is always an underlying reason, even if it is just a mild viral infection or a reaction to some medication. From my experience with thyroid care, regular blood tests and doctor follow-ups are the best way to track this.

Even eating very heavy, oily foods or taking certain painkillers can temporarily elevate liver enzymes. Try shifting to a clean, light plant-based diet, but please consult your doctor for a proper checkup.

They don't elevate for no reason; it could be due to fatty liver or mild medications. Since repeating these tests can be expensive, discuss with your doctor first so you only pay for the necessary scans.

There is no need to panic, as mild fluctuations can happen due to minor things like stress or a temporary bug. Let's consult a doctor and monitor it, they will guide us on what to do next.

There is always some reason behind elevated enzymes, whether it's fatty liver, alcohol, or medications. For your own safety, please don't ignore it and get a proper diagnosis from a physician.
