Can liver cysts go away?

My wife has a small liver cyst that was detected incidentally during a scan. We've been told it's usually harmless. We're curious to know if these types of cysts can sometimes disappear on their own. Can liver cysts go away over time?

Haan na, even I was hoping my liver cyst would just vanish on its own. Actually, simple cysts usually don't go away, but the good thing is they don't harm you or grow quickly either. They just stay there quietly, so no need to take unnecessary stress.

Managing cysts in PCOS has made me realize that some cysts don't just disappear, and that's okay. Liver cysts are usually benign and don't need intervention unless they cause major symptoms. It is always best to let a doctor guide you gently.

From what I've tracked and read on health forums, simple liver cysts rarely disappear completely on their own, but they also don't require treatment unless they become very large. Just log your annual ultrasound in your health app and keep an eye on any size changes.

Since I already manage thyroid, I'm used to regular monitoring. My doctor said my liver cyst won't go away on its own, but we just check it during my routine blood work and scans. Regular follow-up is the best way to stay safe and stress-free.

I have seen this question quite often here. Most simple cysts stay the same size for years and don't disappear, which is completely normal and nothing to worry about. Unless you are having severe abdominal pain, you don't need to worry about removing them.

I recently had a follow-up scan for my liver cyst. It didn't disappear, but the doctor confirmed it hasn't grown even a millimeter in two years. He said we don't need to treat it at all. It is very common, so don't stress about it going away.

I showed my ultrasound report to a specialist at Apollo Hospital. He clearly told me that simple liver cysts don't usually go away, but since they are harmless, we don't need to do anything about them. Please consult your doctor to get exact clarity on your report.

I have had a small liver cyst for the last fifteen years. It hasn't gone away, but it also hasn't caused me a single day of trouble in all these years. Don't worry, just live your life healthy and let it be.
