Can liver cysts cause acid reflux?

I've been having increasingly severe acid reflux, and it's making me very uncomfortable. I also have a small liver cyst that was found a few years ago, which my doctor said wasn't a concern. Could this liver cyst be causing my acid reflux now?

Usually, small liver cysts don't cause any symptoms like acid reflux. If you are experiencing constant reflux, it's more likely due to your diet, lifestyle, or GERD. However, if the cyst is very large, it can physically press on your stomach, so get a doctor to check it out.

In my case, a large liver cyst started pressing against my stomach, which actually caused terrible acid reflux and bloating. I ignored it for months thinking it was normal gas, but it became quite painful. Please get a proper ultrasound done to see if the cyst is causing this pressure.

With my busy work schedule, I used to get severe acidity and blamed my liver cyst. When I finally met my doctor, he said the cyst was too tiny to cause any reflux, and it was actually my skipped meals and stress. It is better to get a quick consult instead of guessing.

Please keep your mind calm and positive, as stress itself can worsen your acid reflux. While physical causes like a large cyst can sometimes play a role, taking care of your mental peace and eating simple, clean food will surely help you feel better. God bless you.

There is a mechanical possibility that an exceptionally large liver cyst could compress the stomach and trigger acid reflux. However, since acid reflux is incredibly common on its own, it's best to consult a gastroenterologist to identify the exact cause rather than assuming it's the cyst.
