Can liver cause skin rashes?

My skin has been really itchy and I've developed these strange rashes recently that don't seem to go away. I initially thought it was an allergy, but it's persisting. Could there be an internal problem, like an issue with my liver, causing these skin rashes?

Yes, absolutely. A sluggish or toxic liver can definitely show up as severe itching and red rashes on your skin.

Man, I love my spicy butter chicken and street food, but my doc told me my bad liver health was actually causing my skin to break out in itchy red rashes. I had to cut down on the heavy oily stuff for a bit. If you're a foodie like me, maybe thoda control on the spices will help your skin and liver calm down.

I have seen this query so many times in our group. When the liver cannot filter toxins or process bile properly, it deposits under the skin causing intense itching and rash. My advice is to avoid using heavy chemicals or steroid creams on your skin, and get your liver enzymes tested first.

True, bile salt buildup from liver issues often causes skin itching and rashes. Getting a simple LFT test done is the best next step.

Haan ji, humare yahan kehte hain ki jab liver kharab hota hai to khoon saaf nahi rehta aur sharir pe khujli aur laal nishan hone lagte hain. Aap bilkul laparwahi mat kijiye. Kisi acche doctor babu ko dikha lijiye aur thoda saaf-suthra khana khaiye.

I went to a top gastroenterologist at Fortis last month for a similar skin rash issue, and he confirmed it was related to my liver. Don't waste time on random skin ointments. Go to a good hospital and ask for a complete liver panel and dermatologist referral.
