Can liver cancer cause back pain?

My friend has been complaining of persistent back pain that doesn't seem to go away with regular remedies. Someone mentioned it could sometimes be related to internal organs. Can liver cancer manifest as back pain?

For normal backaches, a warm compress with hot water bag or a light mustard oil massage works wonders at home. But if the back pain is severe and you suspect a liver issue, please do not rely on home remedies. Go see a doctor immediately to rule out anything serious.

I totally get it, experiencing weird back pain and worrying that it might be something serious like liver cancer is deeply frightening. Please try not to panic, as back pain can happen for a hundred simple reasons. But for your peace of mind, please do consult a doctor soon.

Actually, my uncle had liver issues and complained of pain in his upper back and right shoulder, which the doc said was referred pain from the liver. It's crazy how liver issues can feel like muscle pain. If you have this, definitely get a scan done.

My father went through liver treatment recently, and he used to complain of a dull ache in his right back and shoulder area constantly. The doctor told us it's quite common due to the liver stretching. Once his treatment started, that pain also reduced significantly.

Yes, an enlarged liver can sometimes press on nerves and cause referred pain in the upper back or right shoulder. Please consult a doctor for a proper diagnosis.

I have been having a constant pain in my upper back for two weeks now and reading this is making me really scared. Is there any specific side of the back where liver pain usually occurs? Should I get an ultrasound done to check my liver?

Bro, back pain is usually just from bad posture or sitting in online classes all day, but yeah, liver issues can sometimes cause referred pain in the back. If it's a persistent ache and not a normal muscle catch, just get it checked by a doc to be safe.
