Can liver cancer be detected by a blood test?

My father has a family history of liver issues, and I want to be proactive about monitoring my health. I was thinking of getting regular blood tests done. Can liver cancer be detected early just by doing a routine blood test?

In our family's experience, a blood test like AFP (Alpha-Fetoprotein) can point towards liver cancer, but it is not 100% conclusive on its own. You will almost certainly need an ultrasound, CT scan, or MRI to confirm the diagnosis. Don't rely solely on blood reports.

When we were getting my father tested, the doctor ordered an AFP blood test which showed high levels, and that raised the alarm. But we had to do a CT scan right after to actually see the tumor. So yes, it helps as a starting clue, but scans are needed for final proof.

Hey, don't stress too much right now, okay? Blood tests like tumor markers can give some hints to the doctors, but they aren't the final word. Just get a proper checkup done and let the doctor guide you. Everything will be fine!

Certain tumor markers in blood tests can indicate liver issues, but they aren't enough to diagnose cancer definitely. While you should eat clean, fresh vegetarian food to support liver health, you absolutely must follow your doctor's advice for proper scans and medical diagnosis.

My doctor explained that while blood tests like Liver Function Tests (LFT) and AFP are useful screening tools, they cannot diagnose liver cancer on their own. They only indicate liver stress or tumor markers, which then require a CT scan or a biopsy to confirm. It is always a multi-step process.

Oh god, I always get so anxious reading about liver tests, my heart starts racing! Yes, they can use blood tests like AFP to check for signs, but please don't panic if a report is slightly off. Just talk to your doctor and get the proper scans done for peace of mind.

Haan bhai, blood test (jaise AFP) se thoda idea toh mil jata hai, par sirf usse check nahi hota completely. Uske baad doctors CT scan ya ultrasound likhte hi hain confirmation ke liye. Apne doctor se baat karo, woh sahi batayenge na.
