Can liver be eaten raw?

I was watching a documentary about different culinary practices, and they showed people eating raw liver in some cultures. It made me curious, is it actually safe to eat liver without cooking it? My mother always cooks it thoroughly, so I'm confused.

I would highly advise against eating it raw because of the severe risk of bacterial infections and parasites. Always cook it thoroughly to be safe.

Arey bhai, why do you want to eat it raw and invite stomach worms to a party in your belly? Our Indian style kaleji fry with masala is so delicious and completely safe. Please cook it properly, your stomach will thank you!

From a health perspective, eating raw meat or liver is extremely risky because of infections like food poisoning, which can stress your body and BP. It is much better to eat well-cooked, light meals and get your health checked regularly instead of trying risky diets.

Oh my god, please don't even think about eating raw liver, the thought of parasites and food poisoning is making me so anxious! It can contain dangerous bacteria that can make you extremely sick. Please cook it completely to protect your health, okay?

Honestly, I was just reading about this trend online where some fitness people eat raw liver for vitamins, but it sounds so risky! In India, our summers are so hot that meat spoils super fast anyway. I think it is much safer to stick to traditional cooked recipes.
