Can lisinopril affect the liver?

I've been taking lisinopril for my blood pressure for several years now. My last blood test showed slightly elevated liver enzymes, and I'm trying to figure out the possible causes. Could lisinopril be affecting my liver?

It's generally very safe for the liver, but rare issues can happen. Just get your regular blood tests done and you'll be totally fine! 😊

Lisinopril is mostly processed by the kidneys, not the liver, but keeping your body active with daily walks really helps manage BP naturally alongside meds.

The liver can sometimes feel the load of long-term medications. Gentle yoga and pranayama can help manage BP and reduce your dependence on high doses over time.

While liver side effects are extremely rare with Lisinopril, it's not impossible. A regular liver and kidney function panel is the best way to verify everything is safe.

I totally understand why you are worried, as medication side effects used to keep me awake at night. Just know that liver issues with this drug are very rare, so try to breathe easy.

Lisinopril is primarily excreted through the kidneys. Unless you have an existing liver condition, there's no major risk, but don't skip your routine doctor checkups.

I worry about every single pill I take affecting my organs. If you feel any itching, yellow eyes, or fatigue, definitely mention it to your doctor right away just to be completely safe.
