Can liquor cause kidney stones?

My uncle recently got diagnosed with kidney stones, and the doctor told him to reduce his alcohol intake. He usually drinks liquor sometimes, so we were wondering if liquor is a direct cause for kidney stones. Can it really cause them?

Yes, alcohol causes severe dehydration, and when your body is dehydrated, the minerals in your urine can easily form stones. Plus, the high sugar in mixed drinks makes it worse for both diabetes and kidneys.

I had a painful 6mm kidney stone last year, and my doctor told me my heavy weekend drinking was a major reason because it kept me constantly dehydrated. I've cut down completely now.

My husband ignored his back pain and kept drinking, which resulted in a blocked kidney stone and severe infection. If you have chronic lower back pain, please see a doctor immediately and stop alcohol.

Listen to me, excessive alcohol leads to high uric acid levels which can cause very painful uric acid stones. Please take care of your health and make sure you drink plenty of water if you do have a drink.

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai na! Alcohol se body bohot jaldi dehydrate hoti hai, aur jab paani ki kami hogi toh stone banne ka chance badh jata hai. So limit mein hi piyo.
