Can lifting weights cause piles?

Being quite regular at the gym and lifting heavy weights, I've lately developed piles. I'm wondering if there's a connection. Can lifting heavy weights actually cause or worsen piles?

Lifting heavy weights can put extra pressure down there, especially if you hold your breath! Just focus on your breathing technique and you will be absolutely fine. 😊

Actually, yes yaar. If you lift heavy and don't breathe properly, the pressure can cause hemorrhoids. Make sure your form is correct and don't strain too hard.

I panicked so much when I got mild piles after starting heavy squats. Don't worry, my doctor told me it's very common and can be managed easily with correct breathing and high-fiber foods.

I recently recovered from piles and had to stop heavy deadlifts for a month. The key is to never hold your breath while lifting—always exhale on exertion. It makes a huge difference.

I am barely surviving on 4 hours of sleep, and now I have to worry about weights causing piles? Honestly, just don't push yourself to failure every day, keep your body relaxed.

Yes, excessive strain without proper core engagement can cause this. I always suggest practicing Ashwini Mudra and gentle deep breathing to relieve abdominal pressure after your workouts.

Managing PCOS means I do strength training often, but I had to learn not to strain too hard. If you feel any pain or discomfort, please take a break and consult your doctor rather than ignoring it.
