Can lack of sleep make you constipated?

For the past few weeks, my sleep schedule has been completely off because of work. I've also noticed that I'm constipated quite often now. Could my lack of proper sleep be somehow affecting my digestion like this?

Listen, don't worry too much, our body's digestion is closely linked to our rest cycle. When you don't sleep, your bowel movements naturally slow down. Just try to drink warm water tomorrow morning, eat some papaya, and make sure you get to bed early tonight, okay?

It definitely does because sleep deprivation increases stress hormones, which directly impacts your gut motility. I've noticed this pattern during heavy work weeks in Gurgaon. If your sleep is compromised, your morning routine is bound to suffer, simple as that.

Yeah man, it absolutely does. Whenever I have late-night gaming sessions and mess up my sleep, my stomach goes completely out of whack the next morning. It's like my digestion just shuts down without proper rest. Better to sleep on time if u want a smooth morning.

Actually, this happens to me all the time, yaar. If I don't get my 7 hours, my stomach gets super tight and heavy the next day. It's so annoying because then you feel bloated the entire afternoon. Sleep and digestion are totally connected.

I completely understand how frustrating and draining this feels, as I went through this painful phase for months. It makes you feel so heavy and irritable all day long. Please be gentle with yourself, try to rest your mind first, and the body will slowly find its rhythm again.
