Can lack of sleep cause nausea?

After pulling an all-nighter for my college assignment, I woke up feeling extremely nauseous and almost threw up. This isn't the first time this has happened after very little sleep. Can a severe lack of sleep really cause nausea?

Totally. If I don't sleep well and try to drink my morning protein shake or workout, I feel super nauseous. Your gut health is directly linked to your sleep. Try to keep your dinner light and get proper rest.

Haan yaar, if I pull an all-nighter watching web series, the next morning my stomach feels like it is on a roller coaster. I feel like puking just looking at food. Sleep is literally the only cure for this.

At this age, if I stay awake past 11 PM, my digestion goes for a toss and I feel nauseous the whole next day. My body basically tells me 'go to sleep or suffer'! Better to respect your bedtime, na.

I used to get severe morning nausea when my sleep cycle was messed up due to night shifts. What worked for me was sipping ginger tea in the morning and strictly keeping a gap of 2 hours between dinner and sleep.

Happened to me last week during exams. Slept for only 2 hours and woke up feeling totally sick and nauseous. I just drank some cold water, took a small nap later, and felt much better. Lack of sleep definitely messes up your stomach.
