Can lack of sleep cause higher blood pressure?

My blood pressure readings have slowly been creeping up, according to my recent check-ups. My sleeping habits are quite poor due to managing both work and home. Could this persistent lack of sleep be causing my blood pressure to be higher?

My smart band clearly shows a rise in my resting systolic pressure after a bad night of sleep. Sleep is key for vascular recovery. Please monitor it and consult a doctor if the numbers stay high.

Sleeplessness definitely drives up blood pressure. If your doctor allows, some light jogging or yoga can help regulate your cardiovascular system and improve sleep. Stay safe.

When I stay up late, I eat salty chips which makes my blood pressure jump even more! The combination of less sleep and bad eating is terrible. Do consult a doctor for a proper plan.

Yes bro, my BP spiked during my college exams because I wasn't sleeping at all. It is a direct reaction to stress. Definitely get a doctor's checkup if you are feeling unwell.

Hey, don't stress too much! Your blood pressure will naturally go up when you are tired. Just take a deep breath, get some good rest tonight, and see a doctor if you are still worried.
