Can kratom cause liver problems?

Someone I know uses Kratom, and they mentioned it might affect the liver in some way. My liver function tests were a bit off last time, so I'm a bit concerned. Can Kratom lead to general liver problems?

I freaked out completely after reading about liver failure links when I tried it once. My doctor did an LFT test and told me my liver is perfectly healthy and a single dose won't ruin it, but warned me never to use it regularly. Get a simple blood test done to calm your mind.

Actually yaar, some medical reports do show it can cause liver issues if taken regularly. It is better not to play with these unregulated supplements. Just check with your doc before trying any of these fancy online herbs, seriously.

Haan, research toh yahi kehti hai ki isse liver pe load padta hai na. It's best to stay away from such dangerous herbs. Better safe than sorry, bhai. Doctor se consult karo agar koi health issue hai toh.

Our livers already have to deal with modern pollution, stress, and heavy oily food. Why add more burden with some unregulated herb like kratom? Better to stick to simple home-cooked food and listen to what your doctor advises.

I completely understand why you are anxious about this, especially when there is so much conflicting information online. Yes, there are documented cases of liver injury from kratom. Please take care of yourself and talk to a medical professional instead of stressing over it.

I was actually researching alternative pain remedies for my uncle and found that kratom has a pretty bad reputation for causing liver toxicity. Many health bodies have issued warnings about it. It definitely seems safer to stick to standard medical treatments.

According to the health databases I track, kratom has been flagged multiple times for causing acute liver injury, even within a few weeks of starting. It's highly unregulated, so the purity is never guaranteed. I would highly recommend getting a liver panel test done if you've been using it.
