Can kidney stones hurt in the front?

Most people talk about kidney stone pain in the back, but sometimes my pain is right in the front, in my abdomen area. Is it possible for kidney stones to cause pain that feels like it's in the front of your body?

Yes, they absolutely can hurt in the front, especially in the lower abdomen or groin area as the stone travels down the ureter. When I had one, I initially thought I pulled a lower abdominal muscle during leg day at the gym. Just make sure to get a scan to be sure of what's going on.

It definitely can. The pain often starts in the back and wraps around to the front of your abdomen or pelvic region as the stone moves. I logged my pain symptoms in my health app and noticed this exact pattern before my diagnosis. A quick doctor visit will clear things up.

I totally get it, that front-side pain can be so confusing and honestly very scary! You expect kidney pain to only be in the back, but it actually radiates to the front lower stomach quite often. Please take care and don't hesitate to see a doctor for some relief.

Oh absolutely, it hurts in the front, back, and basically everywhere in between until you don't even know which side is up. I spent a whole night holding my lower stomach thinking it was appendicitis before the doctor told me it was just a tiny stone moving. Go get a checkup so you can finally get some sleep.

Yes, the pain can travel to the front. If you want to check it without spending too much, a basic ultrasound at a local diagnostic lab is very affordable and will tell you if it's a stone or something else. It's much cheaper to get it diagnosed early than to wait for an emergency.

Haan yaar, bilkul aage ki taraf dard ho sakta hai. Jab stone niche ki taraf sliding marta hai na, toh pain back se ghum ke aage pet ke niche wale hisse mein aata hai. Isme darna nahi hai, bas ek baar doctor ko dikha lo aur badhiya se treatment shuru karo.
