Can kidney stones flush out?

My doctor told me to drink plenty of water to help pass my kidney stone. I'm wondering if this means the stone will just flush out with enough fluid intake. Can kidney stones really be flushed out?

Yes, small kidney stones can often flush out on their own with proper hydration, but we must be cautious. Depending on the size, sometimes they get stuck, so it's always best to get a doctor's opinion rather than assuming they will easily pass.

Small stones can definitely flush out if you drink enough fluids like fresh lemon water. However, be careful with your diet and avoid foods high in oxalates, like spinach, while trying to clear them. Always consult your doctor to ensure it is safe to try.

Drinking barley water or tender coconut water regularly can really help flush out small stones naturally. But if you start experiencing severe pain, vomiting, or fever, please don't rely only on these tips and see a doctor immediately.

Hey! Yes, they totally can flush out if they are small enough, like under 5mm. I literally drank almost 4 liters of water every day to flush mine out, and it worked. Just stay patient and keep checking with your doctor.

Yes, they can flush out. I used my fitness app to strictly track my daily water target of 3.5 liters, which helped me pass a 4mm stone naturally. Keep monitoring your symptoms, and consult a doctor if the pain becomes unmanageable.

When my son had a tiny stone, the doctor advised us to give him plenty of water and liquid foods to help it flush out naturally. It worked safely for him, but we made sure to monitor him closely. Please take your child to a pediatrician for proper guidance.

Yes, physiological flushing of small stones is very common through high fluid intake. However, since the ease of passing depends entirely on the stone's location and size, consulting a medical professional for an accurate diagnosis is the safest course of action.

Don't believe every internet remedy that claims to flush out giant stones overnight. While very small stones can pass with water, larger ones won't flush out and can cause damage if you wait too long. Get a proper ultrasound to verify the size with a doctor.

Flushing a small stone out naturally with water is the most cost-effective way, but don't avoid getting a basic ultrasound to check the size first. A cheap scan now can save you from an expensive emergency procedure later. Keep your doctor informed.

My doctor explained that stones smaller than 5mm have a 90% chance of flushing out naturally with high fluid intake. However, anything larger than 6mm might need medical assistance or muscle relaxants to pass. Please consult your urologist to know what is best for your specific case.
