Can kidney stones feel like a uti?

I've been experiencing symptoms like frequent urination and a burning sensation, just like a UTI. But tests came back negative for infection, and they found a small kidney stone instead. Can kidney stones feel exactly like a UTI?

Yes, kidney stones can definitely cause burning urination and a constant urge, making it feel exactly like a UTI. Since I deal with thyroid issues, I believe in getting regular tests done rather than guessing. Please visit your doctor for a proper urine routine and ultrasound.

Don't assume it's just a UTI and start taking random antibiotics or drinking random home remedies from the internet. A kidney stone scratching the bladder wall mimics UTI symptoms perfectly. Verify the actual cause with a urologist through proper tests.

I literally thought I had a bad UTI because of the constant burning when I peed. But when the doctor got my scan done, it turned out to be a 4mm stone irritating my bladder. Definitely get a doctor to check it out so you get the right treatment.

Oh absolutely, they feel so similar! The pressure and that annoying frequent urge to run to the washroom happen in both cases. My advice is to keep drinking lots of water and see a doctor soon to get a proper diagnosis.

At my age, my bladder already plays games with me, but a kidney stone took it to another level! The irritation made me feel like I had a UTI every hour. Better see a doctor to find out if it's an infection or a stone before you buy out all the cranberry juice.

Yeah, I actually had this confusion last semester. I thought it was just a normal UTI from the hostel washrooms, but it turned out to be a tiny kidney stone. Don't sit on it, just go to a clinic and get it checked out.

Managing high BP means I have to be very careful with kidney health. Stones can definitely mimic UTI symptoms like urgency and painful urination. You should consult a doctor for a proper checkup and kidney function test to manage your overall health safely.
