Can kidney stones disappear on their own?

I recently found out I have a small kidney stone. My doctor mentioned keeping an eye on it. I'm hoping it just goes away on its own. Do kidney stones really disappear without intervention sometimes?

My 3mm stone basically disappeared after I drank like 4 liters of water every day for a week. It literally just flushed out in the urine without me even realizing. But if your stone is bigger, it won't just vanish, so better get a scan done.

They don't really 'disappear' into thin air; they either pass through your urine or need to be medically managed. Even if the pain stops, the stone might still be there causing a silent blockage. For your own safety, please get an ultrasound to confirm if it has actually cleared.

Very small kidney stones can naturally find their way out if the body is relaxed and highly hydrated. I practiced gentle twisting poses and drank warm lemon water, which seemed to help the passage. However, please consult a doctor to see if the stone has safely left the system.

From managing my own hormonal health, I know how tempting it is to hope symptoms just go away on their own. Tiny stones can pass without treatment, but we shouldn't be overconfident. It's always best to have a doctor check the exact size so you aren't caught off guard by sudden pain.

I tried to wash my tiny stone away with endless bowls of clear soups and coconut water, and thankfully it worked! But honestly, wishing a big stone away while eating spicy street food won't help. If it is large, no amount of water will make it disappear, so do talk to a doctor.

I tracked my daily water intake using an app and managed to flush out a 4mm stone naturally. Small ones definitely can pass on their own if you maintain high hydration. But keep a log of any pain, and if it increases, consult a doctor immediately.

Don't fall for online claims about magic juices making stones magically disappear. A stone is a solid mineral crystal; if it is small, it passes in urine, and if it's large, it needs medical intervention. Always get an actual doctor to verify the status with a proper scan.
