Can kidney stones cause testicle pain and swelling?

I was recently told I have a kidney stone. Now, for the past few days, I've been having pain and some swelling in my testicle. Could this symptom be caused by the kidney stone?

Yes, the nerve pathways are connected, so pain can travel down. However, actual swelling in the testicle is not a standard symptom of stones. Keep track of your symptoms on an app and definitely see a doctor.

Don't panic, buddy. While kidney stones commonly cause referred pain to the testicle, visible swelling needs to be checked by a doctor right away to rule out any infection. Just get it looked at today.

Yes, it can. If you're going for tests, a scrotal ultrasound and kidney scan can cost around Rs 2000-3000 in private labs. Try checking government diagnostic centres for a cheaper option.

While radiating pain is a known symptom of ureteral stones, swelling is typically indicative of local issues like epididymitis or orchitis. A professional medical consultation and ultrasound are absolutely necessary.

I remember feeling so embarrassed and terrified when I had testicular pain alongside my backache. It is emotionally exhausting, but getting a doctor's confirmation really helped ease my mind.

I faced this exact issue back in my 40s. The pain can really frighten you, but with proper doctor's treatment and drinking lots of water, it clears up nicely. Don't worry too much.

Do not treat testicular swelling lightly by reading internet forums. Swelling can indicate a severe localized infection or other urgent issues. Go to a urologist immediately and get a physical exam.

Beta, kidney stone pain can travel downwards, but swelling needs proper medical attention. Do not try any home remedies for swelling without showing a doctor first.

My doctor says it's a kidney stone, but I am noticing some mild swelling too. Has anyone else experienced actual swelling, or is it just pain? I'm getting really anxious about this.

Any kind of swelling in that sensitive area should be evaluated by a healthcare professional immediately. Please don't wait or guess if it's just the kidney stone.
