Can kidney stones cause leg pain?

Along with my usual kidney stone pain in the flank, I've started feeling a dull ache radiating down my leg. Is it possible for kidney stones to cause leg pain? I'm wondering if these two pains are linked.

Actually, kidney stone pain can sometimes radiate downwards into your groin and upper thigh area. It is called referred pain. If the pain is going all the way down to your calf or foot, it might be a nerve issue, so get it checked.

It is quite common for renal colic pain to travel along the nerve path down to the groin and upper leg. If you are tracking your symptoms, note down if the leg pain increases with the back pain. A quick consult with a urologist will clarify things.

Oh yes! 梁 The nerve pathways in our groin and legs are connected, so when the stone moves, the pain can travel down to your thigh. Drink lots of water and stay strong!

I am feeling this weird throbbing pain in my upper thigh along with my back pain, is anyone else experiencing this? It is making me really anxious. Please let me know if this is normal for kidney stones.
